ESTABLISHMENT OF UNIT (PROVISIONAL)
1. Pursuant to authority contained in Army Regulation 220‑5, the 101st Airborne Division RECONDO School (Provisional) is hereby established and assigned mission as indicated below.
2. MISSION; To train selected personnel of the 101st Airborne Division in advanced airborne/ranger type missions, to include: short and long range field patrolling, river crossing and mountain climbing techniques, crossing of obstacles, advanced map reading and land navigation techniques, patrol techniques utilizing Army fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and patrol communication techniques.
3. ORGANIZATION:

4. PERSONNEL:
a. Cadre personnel will be selected from units of the 101st Airborne Division.
b. Cadre personnel will be restricted to graduates of the Ranger School, USAIC, Fort Benning, Georgia.
c. The 101st Airborne Division RECONDO School (Provisional) is attached for administration to the Command and Control Battalion, 101st Airborne Division, Administration of Article 15 punishment will be accomplished by the School Commandant in accordance with Uniform Code of Military Justice except that reduction in grade under the provisions of Article 15 will be effected only by the commanding officer having courts-martial authority.
5. In accordance with paragraph 4, Army Regulation 735‑35, the 101st Airborne Division RECONDO School (Provisional) is designated an activity under this headquarters.

6. The 101st Airborne Division RECONDO School (Provisional) will be under the operational control of the Assistant Chief of Staff, G‑3.
