This rifle was an M-14 style weapon, but significantly modified. It utilized a
173 grain boat-tail spitzer match round, and sported a 3X9 Redfield scope. The
scope was equipped with a unique range adjustment for the average height of our
enemy, and a giant starlight scope was part of the system. On the scope, two
hair lines were moved by rotating an adjustment ring. These two hair lines are
adjusted such that the top hair is aligned at the top of the head and the bottom
hair is simultaneously adjust to the waist of the NVA. (calibrated for the
average height of an NVA) Result, perfect elevation at any range up to 1000
meters with the 173 grain round. Of course you have to accommodate for
temperature. Windage is a separate operation. And at the longer ranges 700+, a
